The Head of State thanked the authorities and investors for their attention to increasing the accessibility of sports.
According to him, it is very important that as many Russians as possible, adults and children, choose these values for themselves, so that throughout the country there is the opportunity to regularly engage in sports and physical education.
Putin said the number of citizens who regularly play sports has increased from 40 percent to 56.8 percent. However, this is still not enough, he noted, adding that we must continue working.
“We will surely continue to increase the accessibility of mass sports, mass sports movements, creating conditions for the effective training of professional athletes,” the president emphasized.
Putin expressed his confidence that thanks to the joint efforts of society, business and the State it will be possible to achieve all the planned goals.
Let us remember that the day before Vladimir Putin visited Ufa, where the XII International Forum “Russia is a sports power” was inaugurated. Through videoconference, the President participated in the presentation of sports facilities built in different regions of the country. He also chaired a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports.
