The Knights took the lead again after a goal by Russian striker Pavel Dorofeev, but in the last minute of the first half Nikita Kucherov scored 2:2.
At the beginning of the second twenty minutes, Ivan Barbashev surprised Tampa Bay goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevsky for the third time. The Lightning managed to come back late in the game after a goal from Brandon Hagel.
And in the 60th minute of the match, Kucherov brought victory to his team.
The Tampa Bay leader raised his goal tally to six and became the leading sniper this season.
