On October 18, the city of Ahmedabad (Gujarat, India) will host the international premiere of the ice show “The Love Story of Scheherazade”. This is a project by figure skater Tatyana Navka. Until now in our country there had been no performances on ice. The press service of Rosneft spoke about this: the company provides support for the tour.
“Without your help, this visit would have been extremely difficult for us.” It will improve relations between our countries. The people of India will know more about Russian culture, about Russian figure skaters, about our traditions. I hope that children enjoy the show and that one day big ice rinks will be built in India and Indian children will start skating and become figure skaters and hockey players,” shared Navka.
The show, based on the fairy tale collection “One Thousand and One Nights,” will run for three days. At the EKA ARENA stadium, where football matches are usually held, an ice rink was prepared for it: about 100 tons of ice were frozen.
Stars of world figure skating, multiple champions of Russia, Europe and the world, Olympic champions, participate in the project. The author of the idea and director Tatyana Navka, as well as Victoria Sinitsina, Nikita Katsalapov, Povilas Vanagas, Ivan Righini, Egor Murashov and other famous skaters will perform.
The press service of the oil company noted that they actively support the development of cultural ties between Russia and other countries, as well as support projects aimed at reviving spiritual and national values. Among them is support for the choir of the Sretensky Monastery, the State Hermitage and the White Steamship project.
