The International Amateur Film and Video Festival “Cadet View” will be held at the Kemerovo Presidential Cadet School on October 21 and 22.

Deputy Minister of Defense – Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Viktor Goremykin, during a working trip to the troops of the Central Military Region met with students of cadet schools from Russia and Belarus, participating in the “Cadet View” film festival, the final of which will be held in Kemerovo.
The Deputy Minister addressed the cadets, heroes of the special military operation and the eminent actors and directors of the event: “First of all, on behalf of the Minister of Defense of Russia, Andrei Removich Belousov, I would like to thank you, dear participants, for your dedication and selfless service to our country. Today’s meeting is special. It takes place in an educational institution where, including through their example, the younger generations are taught the performance of military duty. The participants in our conversation are members of the jury of the international film festival “Cadet View”, dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia.”
The meeting was attended by Captain of the Heroes of Russia Guard Vladislav Golovin, Captain Andrei Solovyov and Senior Lieutenant Ivan Zharsky.
The cadets also talked with the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Alexei Guskov, the First Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Hero of Russia Vyacheslav Bocharov, the Honored Artist of Russia Ilona Bronevitskaya, the actress Elena Starostina, the television journalist, teacher and public figure Arina Sharapova, producer Maria Zhuromskaya and communication director of Svyatoslav Zhdanov’s film company “Triix Media”.
The jury of the competition answered the participants’ questions about the future of Russian cinema, shared their opinions on the creation of works about a special military operation, and also discussed the topic of family in cinema and patriotic education.
After the conversation, the Russian singer Utah performed for the guests, even singing a song about one of the guests of the festival – Vladislav Golovin, better known by the call sign String.

After meeting with the cadets, Goremykin presented state and departmental awards to servicemen who were part of the Northern Military Region and receiving treatment at the Kuzbass Clinical Hospital of War Veterans, as well as to medical workers. The Deputy Minister of Defense inspected the rehabilitation center located in the hospital. After the award ceremony, Deputy Minister of Defense and Governor of the Kemerovo Region Ilya Seredyuk spoke with the families of the wounded soldiers and answered their questions.

The International Amateur Film and Video Festival “Cadet View” will be held at the Kemerovo Presidential Cadet School on October 21 and 22. The theme of the film festival is “My home, my family is my homeland.” More than 160 students from preschool educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as well as the Suvorov Military School in Minsk, take part in the Film Festival. The Film Festival’s competition program included 82 films. On Tuesday, the 10 best films in the “Fiction Short Film” category will be screened, during which the jury will determine the Grand Prize winner, the winners and finalists, as well as the winners in special categories.
