Lucas Recchia is the first Brazilian designer to have developed the technique of using glass in furniture design. He strives to explore glass as a fluid material, combining ancient, artisanal techniques with solar energy, expanding on its sustainable nature. The Bulle side table is made entirely of smoked glass, including the voluminous legs. Lately, Recchia has been focusing on how to repurpose traditional materials other than glass, such as bronze, aluminum, Brazilian granite, exotic quartzites, and marbles, combining ancient techniques with modern shaping techniques to achieve organic designs that highlight the nuances of each material’s natural properties, earning him a spot on the Forbes 2022 “30 Under 30” list in architecture and design. Recchia has created commissioned pieces for architects such as Kelly Wearstler, Sig Bergamin, and Stephen Harris, as well as pieces for Off-White and Louis Vuitton stores.

Visually, the purity of the lines is particularly noticeable in large sofas. In this sense, the Matignon sofa from Modenature fully embodies the aesthetics of large-scale design. Raw Glasses, MU16
Making MU16 glasses can be compared to cutting a diamond. And rightly so: the objects are inspired by the shapes of the largest black and white diamonds: Enigma and Cullinan. The use of K9 crystal achieves better light transmission and material strength. Unlike lead crystal, it is lead-free and therefore safe for people and the environment.
