“In 2023, during the summer holiday season, the region received 5 percent more tourists than in the past. In general, since the beginning of the year, the tourist flow amounted to 13.4 million tourists. On the territory From Krasnodar, holidays are in demand in different price segments. The demand for 4 and 5 star hotels considerably exceeds the supply. There are 285 of them in the region. In total, guests have at their disposal 10.7 thousand accommodation units with 625 thousand beds,” said Veniamin Kondratyev, governor of the Krasnodar Territory.
In September the velvet season began in the Kuban resorts and hotels on the Black Sea coast are currently 92 percent full. On the Azov Sea coast there are also more than 90 percent of rooms occupied in accommodation establishments.
According to Kondratyev, the region places importance on leisure activities for tourists, so that they want to come back and try something new: hiking, excursions, bike rides, as well as wine tourism and gastrotourism. 578 excursion offices operating in the Krasnodar region help with this.
Almost half of the tourists, that is, 4 million people, visited Kuban on day trips. Most of them are residents of neighboring regions.
