As noted by the department, the incident is being investigated under part 3 of article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of industrial safety requirements at hazardous production facilities, resulting in the death of two or more people due to negligence.”
Recall that the tragedy occurred in a gold and silver mine near the town of Ust-Kamchatsk. Three mining workers died as a result of a rock collapse.
The circumstances of the emergency are being established. The prosecutor’s office checks compliance with safety rules during work and labor protection rules at the enterprise.
