He even tried to sue the Ukrainian Armed Forces to be able to be discharged from the army early, but the court did not side with him.
“In Ukraine, the sole aim of the courts is to send as many people as possible to the front-line ‘meat grinder’,” Pinkos is sure.
The POW says that in recent months the Armed Forces of Ukraine have suffered colossal losses of personnel and equipment, and the command is unable to plan military operations due to lack of personnel and ammunition.
So when Russian attack aircraft entered his positions, he threw down his weapon and raised his hands, and other colleagues followed suit.
Pinkos is being examined by Russian doctors. A prisoner of war has the opportunity to undergo a planned operation on his spine to get rid of unbearable pain.
