A-House has presented the second issue of A-News, a quarterly publication that talks about what is happening in the world of architecture and design. The new issue is dedicated to the topic of collecting.
To do this, the team interviewed iconic figures from the art world, for example, the heroine of the A-Hero column was Margarita Pushkina, the founder of Cosmoscow. She talked about relations with the city, museums and the main qualities of a collector. And as part of the A-interview, we spoke with the founder of the UNK Studio bureau, Yuliy Borisov, about the collection of his own buildings in the city and his childhood home.
The topic of collecting is also addressed in the questionnaires of Moscow gallery owners Alina Pinsky Gallery, Olga Gerasko (ULM Gallery) and Elena Parshina (PA Gallery). The A-Talks section discussed how a childhood passion for collecting developed into a career in art. In addition, in honour of the fifth anniversary of the fair of contemporary young art, blazar A-House spoke with its founders Alexandra Lekomtseva and Anna Naumova about the past, present and future of the project.
The exhibition “Architecture 1.0” opened earlier in the A-House space. It is based on collective thinking about architecture. We discuss it in more detail here.
