The aviation incident occurred on Wednesday around 11:20 a.m. local time. The seaplane crashed on the banks of the Dudinka River and caught fire.
– Firefighters put out the burning plane. Nine people, three units of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved, the ministry said.
The transport prosecutor’s office organized an investigation into the accident. According to the department, the ship crashed in the area of the Lesobirzh industrial zone of the city of Dudinka during takeoff from the water area, the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office said.
Two people on board are known to have died.
