The collection for the exhibition was headed by the director of the Akademgorodok Comprehensive Apartment-Museum, Anastasia Bliznyuk. Academy City was created in the 1950s. The first employees of the scientific institutes were scientists from different cities of Russia, who were not afraid to come to the center of Siberia and develop the young scientific center. They brought with them clothes that were fashionable at that time. The collection is based on outfits from the fifties and seventies. These are both summer clothes and fur coats and hats that were worn with them.
“We know who the owner of the object was and what path to science was taken by the girl who arrived in a crepe de chine or silk dress, like my mother in 1960 after graduating from Leningrad University, where I later studied. No We can attribute a large number of objects, because they were found lying around,” says Anastasia Bliznyuk.
The exhibition also includes accessories from the end of the last century, which the researchers inherited from their grandmothers. And now they are grandmothers themselves. Additionally, the collection includes men’s costumes from the time of the young Academy City.
