“Summarizing the results of the exercises, we can confidently say that the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) have confirmed their value as guarantors of security and stability in the CSTO space,” said Chief of the General Staff of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces Ruslan Mukambetov.

According to him, the participants of the exercise successfully completed all the assigned tasks and consolidated their field training.

During the active phase of the exercises, the combined group was engaged in liberating settlements captured by the conventional enemy. According to legend, the militants invaded the territory of one of the Central Asian republics and the military had to neutralize this threat. The evacuation of the local population was carried out by units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the republic that participated in the exercises.

During the maneuvers in Kyrgyzstan, the joint forces practiced new tactics and techniques. With the help of Russian drones, aerial reconnaissance and strikes were carried out. They were supported by the Kazakh Su-30SM. The ground groups used tanks, armored personnel carriers and artillery. Helicopters and ships were used as landing forces. Special forces “cleaned” populated areas of militants and “squeezed” the enemy beyond the state border.

According to Secretary General of the CSTO Imangali Tasmagambetov, who came to Kyrgyzstan on a special visit, the exercises demonstrated the increased level of readiness of the joint group of the organization to respond to any challenges and threats to the collective and national security of the participating countries. He thanked the leaders of the republic for the high-quality preparation and conduct of the exercises.

“During the exercises, the combat experience of the armed forces of the CSTO countries in interaction with units of the Russian Navy was widely used,” he added.

Meanwhile

The Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of the CSTO has concluded cooperation agreements with seven scientific and higher education institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The organization aims to involve young scientists in projects aimed at countering destructive ideologies. In addition, the CSTO hopes to receive assistance in developing recommendations on how to neutralize such threats among young people.
