Alexander Abdulov’s house in Valdai converted into a daily hotel

This is what the legendary Abdulov house in Valdai looks like now

Alexander Abdulov talked a lot about the house in Valdai during his lifetime, calling it a “selling point.” According to the actor, there was a special atmosphere there and in two days you could relax, like in ten. Films such as “Loser” and “Next” were filmed in the house. And after the death of Alexander Gavrilovich in 2008, for a long time there were rumors that a museum in memory of him would open in the legendary hut, but this did not happen. Abdulov’s widow put up for sale a plot of 17 acres. KP.RU found out what happened to the favorite house of the popular artist.

The house with an area of 200 square meters, located in the very center of Valdai on the shores of Lake Valdai, was put up for sale for 5 million rubles in 2012 and could not be sold for a long time.

“The house had two owners: Abdulov’s widow and a friend of his, with whom they built it,” Tatiana, from the Valdai real estate agency, told KP.RU. They did not reach an agreement immediately. Her friend thought they would make a museum there. He even found a buyer for the widow’s half. And it turns out that Julia has already promised her share to someone else. But as a result, in 2019, a couple of young people bought the whole house.”

On the site, the new owners installed a bathtub with the inscription “Abdulov’s House”.

Yulia Abdulova said that she could not afford to keep a house that, moreover, is located so far from Moscow. And here one can hardly argue – the cottage constantly needs financial investments and a man’s hand.

“The house, of course, eventually fell into disrepair: the pipes burst, the balcony rotted. The new tenants had to do a lot of work to restore it,” a real estate agent shared with KP.RU. -But all of Abdulov’s furniture remained: wooden tables, his rocking chair. The house is currently rented. They also set up photo booths and photo shoots. They advertise it as “Abdulov House”, but I dare not say how legal it is”.

Alexander Abdulov loved to relax in the Valdai house.

We contacted the new owners to find out how much it costs to rock in Alexander Gavrilovich’s chair: 12 thousand rubles per day on weekdays and 15 thousand rubles on weekends. The site, which is actually called Abdulov’s House, has plenty of photos of the renovated penates, including a photo of Abdulov himself in a rocking chair. And on the site they put a bathtub with the inscription “Abdulov’s House”.

“We are restoring this house, giving it its original appearance. Everything is preserved in it, as it was under Alexander Gavrilovich, but we did not open it as a museum. It is only rented for a quiet family vacation. Three movies were filmed in this house and, in fact, it is a landmark of the city”, said the new owners.

By the way, the Alexander Abdulov Museum may appear in the future, but in a different place. Recently, the widow Yulia Abdulova posted a photo and video from the Vnukovo dacha.

“Maybe, really, make a house-museum? And at least invite you on excursions in the summer? What do you think?” – Yulia Abdulova turned to subscribers on Instagram (banned on the territory of the Russian Federation).

Of course, fans of Alexander Gavrilovich took the idea positively: “We support the House-Museum! It would be very nice to visit Alexander Gavrilovich’s house”, “It would be great if there was an Alexander Gavrilovich museum!”, “I wish I could take a look in real life, breathe that atmosphere, feel the energy of the great Artist…”

Julia responded to numerous comments that she would think about it.
