– The last time the girl was seen was on the evening of July 13, a few kilometers from Lake Psenodakh. In the evening, 11 rescuers from the Adygei search and rescue squad of the Russian Emergencies Ministry went in search of the Maykop Pass area, the emergency department said in a statement.
On the morning of July 14, a Ka-32 helicopter was sent from Sochi to the search area, but so far the work from the air has not brought results. Rescue teams are currently surveying the area around Lake Psenodakh. The search is complicated by the complete lack of mobile communications in the mountains near the camp.
The Upper Chub tourist haven is located in the Adygea mountains, 70 kilometers south of Maykop and 50 kilometers north of Sochi. There are practically no settlements in this area.
