The Russian Defense Ministry demonstrates combat operation of the crew of the BM-21 Grad multiple launch missile system (MLRS) of the Center group of troops in the Avdeevsky direction.
“After receiving information from the UAV crew about the identified location of a large number of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the crew of the BM-21 Grad quickly arrived in the combat zone. The servicemen deployed the combat vehicle from the travel position to the combat position, aimed the device at the target and with a volley of 122 mm caliber rockets destroyed an enemy concentration at a distance of more than 15 kilometers,” the Russian Defense Ministry staff said.
The department says that control over the destruction of targets is carried out by the military from a small reconnaissance unit with the help of the Orlan-30 drone, which soars high in the sky.
After completing the task, the crew quickly leaves the firing position, protecting the combat vehicle from a possible attack by FPV drones or enemy artillery.
This is not the first year that the bear mascot in the driver’s cabin of the BM-21 Grad MLRS brings good luck to soldiers.
“We use the machine in difficult conditions. And she hasn’t let us down yet. And the bear helps us. He was sent from Ossetia. Hangs like a talisman. It accompanies us on combat missions,” the driver with the call sign “Sandro” shows a knitted toy under the roof of the BM-21 Grad MLRS cabin.
