Makeeva spoke about the meeting with her husband, trips to the front and the conflict with Druzhinina.

In May, Anastasia Makeeva and Roman Malkov celebrated three years since their wedding, and a little later, their wedding. The novel appeared in Anastasia’s life when, in her own words, she, with three failed marriages behind her, stopped believing in her love. But you can’t escape from destiny! They wrote different things about the actress’s relationship with her husband Roman Malkov and now also with her director. But we decided to ask Anastasia directly and also how she and Roman manage to not get tired of each other, because they do everything together.
– Anastasia, I know that at the XI Trans-Baikal International Film Festival your first joint performance with your husband took place on a big stage. How was everything?
– My husband was calm, but I was tremendously worried about him, because he is a nuclear physicist, not an artist. But it so happened that our brilliant and amazing friend Larisa Rubalskaya gave us a song called “On the Edge of Autumn” and it would be strange not to perform it. We recorded it and imagine my surprise when the director of the Transbaikal Film Festival said: “I want Makeeva to sing a duet with her husband.” At the same time, Roma reacted calmly. In fact, we have been acting together for the fighters in Donbass for a long time. But it was as a duo that they first appeared on the big stage. I was also worried because I had to sing live, in front of a microphone. But my husband surprised me for the better and did an excellent job. He was more confident than me.

– Do you teach your spouse to sing?
– In fact, Roma certainly has talent, he also knows how to play the guitar. But I train, of course. It’s true that he doesn’t really like me teaching him, because I’m strict and demanding. It all started when a couple of years ago I was invited to perform at a concert on the occasion of Family, Love and Fidelity Day. According to the concept of the event, it was necessary to go on stage with the spouses. And it doesn’t matter who they are by profession. Then Rome sang with me. Then the front began, they invited me to sing in the trenches of Donbass. Then Roma himself suggested doing this together. I sing, he plays the guitar and he also sings, but he has a different repertoire: “The Gaza Strip”, “Cinema”. In fact, kids like those songs even more than songs about a blue bandana.
– Tell us about your trips to Donbass. When did you start traveling?
– Since the beginning of the Northern Military District. My husband and I are already like a front-line brigade. We moved 3 to 5 kilometers away from the line of contact. Also, some people think someone is doing PR there. I would like to say: “Friends, come to us, let’s promote together, it’s very interesting there!” Every day departure at 7 am, 5-6 each way. And at night there are sirens and danger of missiles. You have to be prepared for everything: lack of water, lack of electricity… But, having been there once, looking into the eyes of these people, it is impossible not to go there again. I am referring to both military and civilians. The last time Roma and I performed in front of the stormtroopers.

– Where have you already been?
– Yes, everywhere. They performed in fields and basements. Everywhere we were very welcome. By the way, we also celebrate Russia Day in Donbass. The boys set up an improvised stage for us and placed benches. It all happened in the field. The trip was not easy. The siren sounded repeatedly throughout the night. We had 120 seconds to leave the room where we were sleeping. According to security rules, in such cases, with a passport in hand, you must run to a special fortified building and wait for an order when you can return. Once, in addition to the documents, my husband and I carried a guitar and I carried a stage dress. Then the military said: “Here is a real artist!”
For example, in 2022 we went to Makeevka together with Dmitry Kharatyan and even there we were attacked. We were scheduled to congratulate the doctors there and, for some reason, the press published a story about it. As a result, Makeevka began to be bombed. We arrived and they announced to us that the concert had been canceled because they couldn’t get all the doctors together in one place, it was too dangerous. As a result, instead of an hour and a half, Dima and I walked with a guitar through three sections for two and a half hours and congratulated the fighters. We sing and hear shells exploding somewhere in the distance. And there was Roma, not only my husband, but also a partner who supports me in everything.
– Previously in an interview you said that at some point you stopped believing in love, you didn’t expect anything and how at that moment you met Roman. How was the?
– Actually, it’s amazing. They say you can’t escape destiny, and in this sense, I’m probably a shining example. Until I was 38 years old, I couldn’t find a person who needed exactly me, the real me, without makeup and adornments. When you take everything away and you are who you are. And it is a great happiness to be able to honestly say that Roman is the man I have been waiting for all my life. He was the only and first man who truly loved me. Although in the past I made many attempts to start a family. And Roma and I met during the pandemic, when everyone was locked down and in very strict isolation. This must be a miracle. He had a country house that he had not visited for eight years. The house and land were in poor condition. I wouldn’t even think about going there if it weren’t for the pandemic and the terrible melancholy. When you live alone, but you are always at work, on tour and also hanging out with your friends, you don’t feel alone. And then everything stopped, time literally stopped… And the second argument in favor of going to the dacha was the offer to participate in the “Garden of Memory” campaign and plant a tree in honor of those who died in the Second World. War. And my grandfather fought, Victory Day is my main holiday. “But where will I plant?” – I thought at first, and then I remembered the country house again.

– Why didn’t you go there for so long?
– In my previous marriage, to be honest, no one needed this and I couldn’t earn money and go around the construction markets and do it alone. As a result, eight years later, I finally got there and planted a tree as part of the Victory Day campaign. Then the thought arose: “Why not stay out of town during the pandemic?” I invited my friends with me, eight girls gathered, from completely different fields. One was a cook, another a clinical psychologist, another an assistant judge; In general, professions for every taste, but there were no builders. But I still bought paint and together with the girls we started to put the house in order. I talked about how I, a know-nothing artist, picked up a palette knife for the first time on social media. The blog began to gain momentum, it had requests: let’s integrate, let’s collaborate in the barter. A company offered to tidy up my house. I agreed. And Roman, as one of the partners, came to see me. As it turned out, they tried to persuade him for two months… At the dacha I found him with a spatula in his hand, in shorts, with a ponytail and without makeup. And all in paint. She held out her hand to him and said, “Hello, I’m Nastya.” And we fell in love…
– In the end, was the house that brought you together renovated? Do you go there often?
– Yes, but Roman’s parents live there now. In addition there is also a second house. And for us, since we travel everywhere, it is more comfortable to live in Moscow. But there we go too. After all, I am an avid gardener!
– And it turns out that Roman knows how to do everything in the house with his hands?
– Let me explain even more about Roman’s profession, otherwise some confusion has arisen and incorrect information has been provided on the Internet. First of all, Roman from Obninsk. And secondly, he is not a plasterer and does not lay tiles. By education, the husband is a nuclear physicist, he is an elite in the nuclear industry. I followed in my father’s footsteps. He has his own design company, he designs buildings from LSTK (light metal structures). But of course, Roma is not without arms, he is a normal man who can do anything. But he makes money with his brain. By the way, he built the entire TechnoNIKOL and designed the Samsung plant. His portfolio includes more than three thousand objects. He designs very large objects, he is a brilliant architect.

– They say that in marriage you have to endure. Is there something you have to endure?
– My husband is jealous. And he changed my lifestyle a little, but, to be honest, now I’m even grateful to him. I trust Roman a lot and I am willing to do everything possible to make him feel calm. If you noticed, all my dresses have become more closed. Only he dresses me, he doesn’t let any dresser come near me. I left performances that had some controversial themes. Of course, at first I resisted, but some time passed and I realized that the time had come when it was necessary to move to another family age limit, where you exist completely differently, and this has its own charm. After all, I’m already quite old…
– You look great!
– Thank you. But I’m still 42, not 25, to be jumping around the stage in a short skirt. And Roman, he is a friend of mine, let’s say, from the old school.
– You do everything together, together all the time. Don’t you get tired of each other?
– We don’t get tired. Roma is the person with whom it is good for me to talk, keep silent and in general everything. At the beginning of our relationship, she went on tour with me several times and attended concerts. And when I saw how some concert directors and companies that gave me work exploited me, I said that’s it! I’ll give you an example: you come to another city and they take you directly from the train at 10 in the morning, without breakfast or shower, saving the hotel, to the theater to rehearse and test. And at the end of the day, at 11:00 p.m., you think about what you want most: sleep or eat. In the end you choose the first one. And when he saw that he couldn’t eat for days, and I have pancreatitis and shouldn’t starve at all, but no one cares, he himself offered to act as a concert director. And now he organizes everything completely, knows the whole process, creates a schedule, communicates with everyone. And then there are people with whom I do not really like to contact, and that is why the gypsies limit their communication with me, so that no one offends me or bothers me. Also, we figured that if I was on tour and he was in the office, then we could see each other once or twice a month.
– You just talked about limiting contacts with people with whom it is not very pleasant to communicate. I immediately remembered the incident at the premiere of the movie “Midshipmen. 1787. World”, when director Svetlana Druzhinina supposedly rejected you. Tell me how it really happened?
– Not everything was as written. People really wanted to create a special situation. Poor Svetlana Druzhinina! To be honest, I felt incredibly embarrassed in front of her. I respect Svetlana Sergeevna a lot, she is 88 years old and they did not forgive her, they wrote all this and then she called, she was very worried and apologized. She wailed: “Nastya, how did this happen?!” The fact is that she was very nervous before the premiere of the film. And when I approached her on the way, she was not ready for this and asked me to move away for a second to take a photo of her. After which I approached her calmly. The film was released in October and in December Roma and I were at Svetlana Sergeevna’s birthday party. Her husband Anatoly Mukasey adores me. We have no conflict!
– Do you share your plans for the summer?
– On tour. Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Sverdlovsk, Vladivostok. And then we’ll see. I really hope that we will definitely go out to the dacha… And, of course, we will go to the front.
