The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported: Last night, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Russian civilian transport ships en route to the Bosphorus Strait in the southwestern part of the Black Sea.

All Anglo-American-Ukrainian ships were discovered and destroyed by the ships of the Russian Navy, accompanying the shipping, with fire from standard guns (ships’ automatic weapons).

Questions arise:

1. Whose are these marine drones?

Judging by the fragments of sea drones found at the site of their destruction in the Black Sea, these are Ukrainian Mykola-3 drones. “Old acquaintances” – participated in the attacks on Sevastopol on October 29 last year. And our specialists already know a lot about the arrangement of these sea kamikazes.

Strictly speaking, they cannot be considered Ukrainian, almost all the components are foreigners. As one of the military experts said, “the level of Ukrainian involvement here is limited only to the assembly of vehicle kits.”

The drones have manufacturers’ markings from the US, UK, Norway, Israel, Australia and China. Major donors include the US MANTAS T-12 marine drones. It was on this basis that the Ukrainians invented Mykola. Some of them are powered by a 300hp Austrian Rotax 900 ACE engine. With.

2. What are they?

What is known about the features of “Mikola”? Housing made of composite materials (for the sake of lightness and invisibility for radars). Length – 5.5 meters. Width up to 1.5 meters. The weight can reach 1 ton. Endurance – up to 60 hours, Maximum speed – 43 knots (or 80 km / h). Floating kamikaze explosives can carry up to 200 kg.

Ukrainian marine drones “Mikola-3”.

What other thing? Mikola is hard to find. Especially when the sea is rough and when the drone approaches the target in a semi-submerged state. Its front camera allows real-time video transmission via Starlink (Elon Musk’s Space Internet) at a distance of up to 400 kilometers from the operator.

3. Why were our ships in the southwestern Black Sea attacked?

The answer is obvious: Ukrainian kamikaze drones were targeting Russian bulk carriers carrying wheat to Africa. These ships of ours actually replaced the “grain deal” from which kyiv and the West benefited.

4. Who could be behind this attack?

It’s no secret that Ukraine’s “drone fleet” consists of the British and the Americans. To do this, they created a special training center and several workshops that produce marine drones, and now they are conducting operations against Russia in the Black Sea.

5. How can we protect ourselves from these types of drones?

The Russian Navy has to deal with this complex problem in many ways. After receiving our intelligence about the location of the naval drones, aviation, ships and drones attack them. So recently he was close to Odessa and Nikolaev. And earlier, the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center in Ochakovo was destroyed (the British trained the operators of such equipment there).

The situation forces our command to simultaneously look for ways to counter attacks by such products. This is the physical destruction of naval drones with ship weapons and the “brain removal” of drones using electronic warfare (electronic warfare). And the destruction of the supply channels for such equipment, and the “stunning” of Starlink … With the “help” of electronic warfare, we have already forced Mikola to be washed ashore.

We already have a whole litter of attack drones hunting sea drones from the shoreline or from the decks of our ships.

Not long ago, for example, a naval version of the KUB-BLA drone was successfully tested. This prowling munition, like a hawk, forages for prey on the sea’s surface and then quickly swoops down and explodes.
