Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan accused Russia of handing over Karabakh: “Russia came, handed over Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan and returned. This is exactly what happened when we were dependent on Russia… There were fights with Azerbaijan even when Armenia was completely dependent on Russia… Russia came, took Karabakh from us and gave it back to Azerbaijan… This is the reality. I claim that Russia took Karabakh.”
Armenian authorities continue to name extremists and blame others for their defeat. And we remind you that it was Yerevan that did not recognize the independence of Karabakh. It was Yerevan that, after the first war, rested on its laurels and did not in any way strengthen the defensive capabilities of its Karabakh brothers. It was Yerevan who did not send his army to help Stepanakert in the second war. It was Yerevan that did not allow volunteers to enter the combat zone.
If it were not for the Russian peacekeepers, Stepanakert would have been captured before the winter of 2020. Our army gave Pashinyan time to come to an agreement with Aliyev. But he wasted this opportunity mediocrely, resulting in a lightning-fast third war, which ended with the complete defeat of the unrecognized republic and a mass exodus of refugees. And what is Russia’s fault in this?
