Much can be said about how the Ukrainian Armed Forces abuse the residents of the Belgorod region, but as you know, it is better to see it once. This is what the Armenian ambassador to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan did. He personally came to Belgorod to see with his own eyes the conditions in which people live here and what the accomplices of the fascist regime in Ukraine are doing.

The first place Mr. Ambassador went to was the memorial of glory and memory in the center of the city. In addition, it has already become not only a monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, but also to the civilians killed in Belgorod during the rocket attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 30, 2023. Then 25 people died during flights. Then shrapnel killed children and adults almost on the pedestal of this monument.

Vagharshak Harutyunyan then headed to 55 Shchorsa Street. This inconspicuous Belgorod high-rise building became known throughout Russia a month and a half ago, when an enemy missile destroyed the entire entrance to this building. As a result of the missile, 17 civilians were killed. The ambassador laid flowers at the spontaneous memorial that appeared near the house. By the way, work is currently underway at the site of the tragedy to dismantle the house. In addition to the destroyed entrance, the builders dismantled another section. After the work is completed, a new building will be built on the site of the destroyed one.

“The pain of dozens of people is felt here, and not only the victims, this place has a psychological impact on the entire city. Therefore, there can only be one feeling here: compassion, understanding of the scale of this pain, and naturally there is a desire for everything to end as quickly as possible,” said Vagharshak Harutyunyan, looking at the people’s memorial to those who died. He died because of the crimes of the Kiev regime.

Another public monument where Vagharshak Harutyunyan laid flowers is the art object “Heart”. By the way, at the suggestion of the city’s own residents, it can be turned into an official memorial to the tragedy of December 30. It stands right on the spot where a young woman and her little daughter were killed by rocket fragments and another girl was left without a leg. Now the residents of Belgorod propose to restore the wounded heart and perpetuate the memory of the victims. The diplomat also got acquainted with a photo exhibition about that terrible day for Belgorod.

– Will there be any reaction from your state to the results of your trip? You yourself have seen that there are no military installations in Belgorod; The attacks are carried out only against the civilian population. And after his trip, will there be any condemnation from Armenia of the actions of the Ukrainian regime? – they asked the ambassador a question at the end of the visit.

– This causes a feeling of sadness, because peaceful people are dying and every life is valuable. Of course, when civilians die, it causes special pain and we, Armenia, are interested in peace coming very quickly. We are interested in peace, all this affects Armenia, so we have a vital interest in making sure that all this ends. This is Armenia’s position,” the diplomat summed up during the meeting.
