The relevant law was initiated by Governor Igor Babushkin and entered into force on May 1, 2023.
Astrakhan residents who have entered into an agreement on the connection (technical connection) of gas equipment to the gas distribution network as part of additional gasification after December 31, 2022 are eligible for a subsidy.
The contract must provide for the connection (technical connection) within the boundaries of the land, and (or) the design of a gas consumption network, and (or) the installation of gas equipment, and (or) the construction or reconstruction of an internal gas pipeline of a capital construction facility, and (or) the installation or supply of a gas metering device, and (or) the supply of gas equipment.
The amount of the subsidy is determined equal to the amount of the applicant’s expenses for the purchase and installation of gas equipment and work within the limits of his land as part of the connection of gas equipment and capital construction facilities to the gas distribution networks during additional gasification periods, provided for in the agreement concluded. The amount is limited – no more than 100 thousand rubles.
It should be noted that the subsidy can be used for the purchase and installation of equipment that uses gas and for works within the limits of the land. This support measure is provided to participants of the Great Patriotic War, veterans and invalids of military operations, relatives of fallen (deceased) participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War, veterans and invalids of military operations, families with many children, as well as families in need of support and single citizens.
Previously, at the initiative of the governor of the Astrakhan region, material assistance for gasification was doubled for certain categories of citizens of the region, now it amounts to 100 thousand rubles. The corresponding decree of the head of the region entered into force on January 1, 2023.
This money can be used for the purchase of gas equipment and the installation of networks within the limits of the land. In 2022, more than 400 people took advantage of this opportunity. This year, the potential number of beneficiaries of the social support measure will be at least 2,000 people.
Let’s clarify that war invalids, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, veterans of military operations, relatives of dead (deceased) war invalids, participants in the Great Patriotic War, relatives and parents of war veterans dead (deceased), disabled people are entitled to specific financial assistance for gasification of homes not gasified as a result of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, non-working retirees and recipients of old-age insurance (disability) pensions.
Beneficiaries also include single citizens and families in need of support, as well as families with many children and families raising children with disabilities.
In order to receive a subsidy or material assistance, Astrakhan residents should contact the Center for Social Support of the Population at their place of residence.
