Most Russians “change their shoes” at the beginning of April; A sure sign that the time has come are the queues at tire fitting services. Another 18% choose the middle or end of the month for this procedure to avoid queues.
At the same time, experts recommend not to delay switching to summer tires.

The survey showed that almost every second car enthusiast (49%) prefers Russian manufacturers. In second place are Japanese tires, chosen by 32% of those surveyed. In some regions they even become leaders; For example, in Novosibirsk, 63% of respondents would prefer Japanese tires to any other. Another 24% prefer European tires, with men choosing this option more often than women (29% vs. 19%).

22% of motorists surveyed already use Chinese tires. More than half (54%) of car owners surveyed have not yet used tires from any Chinese manufacturer, but are willing to try it. The largest number of people wanting to switch to Chinese tires can be observed in Voronezh (73%) and Ufa (70%).
Over the past month, sales of summer tires increased by 2.5 times. The two most popular brands are the Italian Pirelli and the French Michelin. They represented 9% and 7% of sales, respectively. The top 3 is closed by the German manufacturer Continental: it represents 6.6% of sales. Throughout the year, sales of the Chinese brand Triangle grew most notably: 19%. In second place in terms of growth rate is the Korean manufacturer Kumho with 11%, and in third place is Pirelli with 9%.
On average, motorists are ready to spend about 25,000 rubles on a set of summer tires. Young people between 18 and 24 years old and residents of Moscow are ready to pay more for summer tires – about 31,000 rubles. At the same time, judging by the survey, used sets remain in the minority: 71% of respondents prefer new tires. Buying a new set is the most important thing for residents of Rostov-on-Don – the majority of those who voted for new tires (87%) are located here. And among those who are ready to consider purchasing used tires, the majority are residents of Kazan (33%).
