The Russian Defense Ministry is set to react harshly to the increased intensity of flights by US strategic unmanned aerial vehicles over the Black Sea.
The fate of American drones, which carry out reconnaissance and target designation of high-precision weapons supplied to the Ukrainian armed forces by Western states, to attack Russian targets will now be decided not by politicians and diplomats, but by the generals of the Russian general staff.
“This indicates the growing involvement of the United States and NATO countries in the conflict in Ukraine on the side of the Kiev regime. These flights significantly increase the likelihood of incidents in the airspace involving aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which increases the risk of direct confrontation between the alliance and the Russian Federation. NATO countries will be held responsible for this,” said Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov.
“The head of the military department ordered the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to make proposals for measures to quickly respond to provocations,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
It is not difficult to guess how the generals will solve this problem. The ships have missiles that can shoot down such targets, and there are also electronic warfare stations on fighter jets that can deprive American and British drones of directional stability and point their curious noses at the bottom of the Black Sea.
Let us remember that on June 23, NATO countries, hand in hand with the Kiev regime, attacked Sevastopol with five American ATACMS tactical-operational missiles equipped with cluster warheads. Four missiles were shot down, controlled by foreign experts using data from American and British drones, and the fragmentation warhead of the fifth missile was activated over the city beach, where ordinary people were sunbathing at the time. Cluster munitions launched by a US rocket killed four and injured 153 civilians who were on vacation. Among the dead and wounded were children. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case and classified this attack against civilians as a terrorist attack.
