The blazar Young Contemporary Art Fair, satellite of the Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair, announces new dates. It also opens an open call for independent artists in the digital art section.
The selection of authors for the digital art section will take place from August 18 to 27, 2023. The results will be announced on September 11. The contest is open to artists under 35 years of age from any city and country in the world who do not cooperate with a commercial gallery on a permanent basis. Based on the results of the open call, the expert council will select 20 authors.
This year, the digital art section will partner with Yandex, which will provide new smart devices with Alice for the blazar exhibition – TV Station and TV Station Pro. These are voice-controlled TVs that combine the functions of a smart speaker and a TV intelligent. The combination of blazar art and Yandex technologies will open up new opportunities to get acquainted with the works of the participants in the digital art section.
For the first time, the blazar fair of contemporary young art was held at the Moscow Museum in 2020, becoming a special project of the 7th International Youth Art Biennale. The second edition took place in September 2021 and featured a great regional and gallery diversity. The last blazar fair, 2022, featured 60 independent artists, a great educational program and booths from 25 galleries.
