It is stated that the main objective of these systems should be to suppress Russian and Chinese satellites in the event of a possible conflict.
According to the agency, the new system has already been tested this year and is designed to counter the satellite communication capabilities of Moscow and Beijing. However, it does not envisage the destruction of enemy satellites, but only their neutralisation to prevent contamination of Earth’s orbit with space debris.
It is worth noting that 11 of 24 electronic warfare systems are planned to be deployed in the United States in the coming months.
