Chin from the popular South Korean group BTS will be a torchbearer at the 2024 Olympics. The musician is reported to be traveling to France in the near future, Yonhap news agency writes about this.
The interpreter is the first member of the group to return from the army after compulsory service. The Olympic flame was lit in Greece and handed over to France in June. In total, around 11,000 people will take part in the relay. Among them are footballer Didier Drogba, basketball player Tony Park, survivors of Nazi concentration camps, victims of the terrorist attack in Nice, astronauts and orderlies.
The Paris Olympics begin on July 27 and will run until August 11. In total, more than 15,000 athletes from 206 countries have registered.
