“We are prisoners, they communicated with us a bit badly… Sometimes they beat us a bit, this happened,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
When asked if his life was worth anything to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the prisoner replied in the negative.
“I think they just threw it in the meat and that was it, the main thing was to get rid of it,” he said.
Recall that in July it became known that a special battalion “Shkval”, made up of former prisoners, appeared as part of the 47th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Magura”. It was noted that all soldiers who joined the battalion were motivated and eager to go into battle from the first day.
Later, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Lutsenko said that many of the Ukrainian prisoners who went to the front eventually refused to fight. According to him, they sign a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine only to be released.
