Trotter, like The Row’s Olsen sisters, prefers to work with intimacy. The number of guests at its debut was minimal (neither bloggers nor influencers), the site was launched almost a year later and today it brought everyone together in the place of power of the brand it heads. After intimacy, another important component of Trotter is the attention to sensuality and the play of textures. “The spring-summer 2025 collection is about unraveling the layers and linings that represent the intimate space between a woman and her wardrobe. There is a feeling of freedom and tranquility.”
In the spring-summer collection, the designer continued to explore the geometry of shapes (in particular, the rectangle), paying attention to the back of the product, turning things over and leaving them “unfinished”, layering fabrics above each one. other. With French carelessness and a love for real women (in an interview she admitted that she cycles to the studio to be closer to the same women for whom she writes her version of Carven), Louise and her team created dresses from several layers of chiffon. and fur coats in a beautiful milky color; off-the-shoulder peplum blouses and crisp jumpsuits in noble graphite; cocoon coats in caramel silk and straight-cut, floor-length rectangular dresses, paired with gathered mesh gloves. Her models walk in perfectly tailored skirts and long T-shirt ensembles, holding hooded parkas with their hands behind them. They love oversized paper trench coats with matching chiffon, pajama pants, fringed stoles tied at the hips over coats, slippers, sheers, silk mules in cheerful yellow and/or emerald, and shoulder-length earrings.
