According to the head of the regional public support office, Magomed Magomedov, there is damage inside the temple, as well as at the entrance and in the courtyard.
“We will finish the restoration work within three months, or maybe sooner,” he said.
Experts are currently assessing the damage caused to the cathedral by terrorist actions. A restoration project will then be prepared and construction materials purchased.
As previously reported by the head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov, the churches and synagogues in Derburnt and Makhachkala that were damaged during the terrorist attack will be restored with extrabudgetary funds.
