CINEMA IN ALL HUNDRED

Vladimir Vladimirovich inaugurated the first stage of the Moskino cinema park

– This idea has a long history. In 1938, Stalin was offered to build such a large site. Approximately similar in scale to what we are doing, because then the film industry was actively developing, big goals were set, but the war got in the way, – said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin at the ceremony.

“We are competing with Hollywood,” Putin said.

– Yes, we are in absolute competition with Hollywood. Today we are also competing with Hollywood, we have set ourselves the task of creating a world-class platform,” added the mayor of the capital.

Instead of the traditional ribbon cutting, the filmmakers invited the president to give orders, as if on a film set.

– Camera! Engine! – the head of the country replied, adding that the film park will attract not only our specialists, but also foreign filmmakers.

“In fact, this platform can and will certainly become one of the most respected, largest and most effective in the world,” the president added.

In general, the idea of building a film park in its modern form belongs to Sergei Sobyanin. Moskino will be the largest filming location in the world, with locations representing cities in Russia, Europe and other regions. Up to 80% of Russian cinema is planned to be shot on the basis of the Moscow Film Cluster by 2030, which will amount to more than 200 films a year. The film park is expected to attract up to 10 million visitors a year.

– By the way, I can say that Cathedral Square does indeed look absolutely natural. But what I would like to note is: if you still need such filming, please contact us directly – we will give you the opportunity, we will move a little, we will make room,” Putin joked.

The first phase of construction has already been completed: 18 real plots and several pavilions have been built on 180 hectares. During the second phase (2024-2027) another 20 sites will be built, and in the third phase (2027-2030) another 26 will be added.

In the past two years, 55 projects have already been filmed in the park. There are 35 more films and TV series in the near future.

BAUMANKA: BRIDGE TO THE FUTURE

Vladimir Vladimirovich, together with Sobyanin, inaugurated the new campus on Baumanka. It was built by order of the president as part of the federal project “Creation of a network of modern campuses”. 14 buildings with a total area of 170 thousand square meters were built and restored.

The central campus cluster houses an innovation centre, a congress centre, research centres and the multifunctional Quantum complex, which includes laboratories and coworking spaces. The construction of a leisure centre and dormitories for 2.3 thousand students has been completed.

The campus was connected to the educational buildings by a 243-metre pedestrian and bicycle bridge across the Yauza.

“Following his instructions, we built a new campus in three years,” said Sergei Sobyanin.

Deputy Mayor Vladimir Efimov added that the project was completed with almost 90% import substitution and thanks to parallel design and construction, the campus was completed one and a half times faster.

TRINITY LINE: MOSCOW ADVANCES!

The first stage of the new Troitskaya metro line was opened on City Day.

Four stations are now open for passengers: Novatorskaya, Generala Tyuleneva, Peoples’ Friendship University and Tyutchevskaya. The length of this section is 8.3 kilometres, and at Novatorskaya station there is a transfer to the Big Circle line.

The Troitskaya Line is already the 16th branch of the Moscow metro. In the future, it will become one of the longest and will stretch from the ZIL MCC station to the city of Troitsk, and the total length will be 43 kilometers (17 stations). According to Sobyanin, this will be the largest metro radius outside the Moscow Ring Road.

“Moscow is making remarkable progress in the area of metro construction,” Vladimir Vladimirovich praised. He added that the work of metro builders changes the quality of life in the city:

“This is very important… This is what people dream of when they start forming families and organizing their homes in these areas,” the president said.

Now the Obruchevsky, Konkovo, Teply Stan, Prospekt Vernadskogo and Kommunarka districts are within walking distance of the metro. By 2029, 100 thousand people a day will travel along the new route!
