On June 7, pianist and composer Riad Mammadov will present a new program, The Morning After, at the Zotov Center. It is composed of original music and jazz and is inspired by mugam, a musical and poetic genre originating in popular oral tradition.
During the concert, the musician places the dialogue between East and West in a modern context: the aesthetics of the traditional genre are perfectly combined in the program with jazz and the means of expression of modern composers.
Let us remember that the Beat Film Festival celebrates its fifteenth anniversary this year and will be held from June 6 to 16 in various locations in Moscow and online in Kinopoisk.
