Not long ago, it turned out by chance that Maria Shukshina (Lydia Nikolaevna’s middle daughter) had transferred her share of the royalties from Shukshin’s legacy to herself. It seems that the family has been living comfortably for many, many years thanks mainly to these contributions.
The copyright holders of Vasily Makarovich’s work were four: Lydia Nikolaevna and her three daughters – Ekaterina, Maria and Olga. But “by chance” it so happened that 50% of the copyright ended up in the hands of Maria Shukshina. Olga has 30%, Ekaterina – 20%. And Lydia Nikolaevna has nothing at all. Now she says that her beloved daughter Masha deceived her and gave her a document to sign, which Lydia Nikolaevna did not really understand. It turned out that this was a receipt for the alienation of her share of the copyright in favor of Masha, which the youngest daughter Olga accidentally discovered and filed a lawsuit against. Both for my mother and for my older sister Maria.

“When Lidia Nikolaevna found out that she had been deprived of a share of Shukshin’s copyright estate, she was shocked, to put it mildly,” says lawyer Yulia Verbitskaya-Linnik. – After all, in words it was not about alienation of rights. But about the transfer of her share to Maria Shukshina. This is confirmed by the fact that Maria regularly brought her a certain amount. And suddenly it turns out that money is money, but Lydia Nikolaevna has ceased to be the owner of the copyright. That her own daughter deceived her.
Because of her age, she often does not understand the essence of what she is asked to sign. How can you not believe your own daughter? She trusts everyone. Although her trust threshold has decreased in recent years. Deception follows deception, which has a negative effect on her emotional state and health. This is not the first time that her relatives have taken advantage of her gullibility and forced her to sign under pressure. Yes, yes, this is exactly what happened three months ago. That is why we in court turned to Maria Shukshina’s representatives and asked them not to do this in the future… This is wrong in relation to an elderly person. Such actions have a negative effect on Lydia Nikolaevna’s well-being. Moreover, the receipt that she was forced to draw up confirms that Lydia Nikolaevna was deceived. If her copyright was alienated in favour of Maria Shukshina, why did Maria create for many years the illusion that these rights were only under her control, that her mother remained the copyright holder?
