The military department recalled that the recruiting commissions began to function on April 1. On April 15, recruits began to be sent to the troops from the assembly points of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
At the same time, as in previous recruitment campaigns, young people who arrived at military commissariats were given the right to choose to do military service in various branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and branches of the army, “taking into account their state of health and the results of professional psychological selection.”
“Before being sent to their duty stations, conscripts were given everyday uniforms: for the Navy – black, for the Aerospace and Airborne Forces – blue, for other types and branches of the military – khaki, as well as travel bags, bank and personal electronic cards,” – the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
It is clarified that 15 flights of military transport aircraft, 14 military echelons, 172 civil aviation flights, passenger trains, as well as vehicles of military units were used to ensure military transportation.
“Most of the conscripted servicemen are enrolled in training formations and military units, where they master modern military equipment and receive a military specialty,” the military department noted. “At the same time, military personnel were not sent to the points of deployment of military units in new regions of the Russian Federation – the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions – or to participate there in the performance of tasks of a special military operation.
