Dmitry Grigorenko: Digitalization of tax administration is a priority – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Date: July 4, 2024 Time: 19:01:44

According to him, the Federal Tax Service is a leader in the implementation of digital innovations and technologies among government departments. Thanks to this, a new level of comfort has been created for citizens and businesses when interacting with tax authorities. For example, in 2024 they launched a comprehensive service “Start a business online”, with which entrepreneurs, in particular, can register a company and open a bank account.

At the same time, Grigorenko said that it is necessary to continue developing the service, adding new options for the successful launch of the business.

“Feedback allows the service to respond quickly and efficiently to public requests. This is a key tool and it is on this that the service must rely to further improve its work,” he stressed.

To date, the Federal Tax Service has already implemented more than 70 interactive services, covering all categories of taxpayers and areas of their interests. One of the largest was the line of personal accounts: the number of active users here in 2023 reached almost 55 million people.

Using a personal account, people can submit electronic declarations to receive deductions. According to the head of the Federal Tax Service, Daniil Egorov, if a few years ago deductions were made within four months, today – within 6-7 days.

“This was achieved through a very thorough analysis of business processes, optimising procedures and communication with payers, so that work would be comfortable for both parties,” he said.

As for legal entities, they can submit documents for online registration, receive certificates of absence of debts, etc. through their personal account. In total, last year the company returned about 5 trillion rubles of VAT to its turnover, and in 2022 – 4.6 trillion rubles.

Grigorenko is confident that reducing the administrative burden on conscientious taxpayers has become a trend in the work of tax authorities. Thus, last year the number of on-site tax audits decreased by almost half compared to 2022. Since the beginning of this year, the drop has been 28%.

The expansion of digital remote inspection tools is expected to further reduce the number of inspection activities.
