Early jubilation in 2023: appropriate are the most benefited pensions after the Escrivá reform

Date: September 8, 2024 Time: 05:55:15

The Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations has established a new system of benefits for pensions after a major reform. Contributory and non-contributory pensions rise above inflation, but the most important change is the one that affects the retirement age of workers and their conditions.

Currently, it has been established that at least one worker has had to contribute for 37 years and 9 months to access the retirement pension at 65 or 66 years of age. José Luis Escrivá, Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations, intends with this modification to progressively increase contributions. In his new pension system, he also adds incentives and benefits for all those who postpone their retirement age by prolonging their working life.

Despite the incentives to delay retirement, the truth is that early retirement continues to be one of the options with the most demand. The reduction coefficient for pensions through this route is applied monthly and not quarterly, it will decrease directly when importing received by the pensioner, but not to the regulatory base.

Most beneficial retirements for the pensioner

Bringing forward the retirement age and processing the application in 2023 is an important benefit for workers with more years of contributions in their working life. If you have worked between 38 and 44 years of age, you should know that the pension reform applies new reduction percentages to salary, which makes the application viable and allows for higher monthly income for pensioners.

In this way, retirees who meet these requirements in 2023 will be able to obtain a great benefit in their monthly salary, since before the reform the reduction percentages were 12%, 14% and 10%. Workers between 38 years and six months and 41 years and six months with contributions: if these workers access retirement in 2023 with 16 months in advance, they will have a reduction percentage of 7% compared to the previous 11.3%. For their part, those who will do so 19 months before will lose 9.33% of their pension, compared to the previous 13.1%. Workers between 41 years and six months and 44 years and six months with contributions: retirements for this sector of the population that will be made with an advance of 16 months will have a penalty of 6.67% compared to the existing 10.5%. If it is done 13 months in advance, the percentage will be 5.3% compared to 8.8%. For their part, those who decide to access the pension 19 months before the official date will lose 8.89% and not the 12.3% stipulated up to now. Workers over 44 years of age and six months of contributions: retirements with 16 months in advance (from 9.8% to 6.33%), 13 months (from 8.01% to 5.07%) and 19 months in advance (they go from 11.4% to 8.4%).
