The press service of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Karelia was informed of the accident. Eight people were taken to hospital after the collision.
“The accident occurred today at 7:40 a.m. near the city of Belomorsk. A Suzuki Grand Vitara crossover and a Mercedes Sprinter passenger minibus collided on the road,” the department commented.
The status of the victims is not specified. Traffic police and emergency services are working at the scene of the incident.
