One of the richest people in the world, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, the owner of the social network X, Elon Musk, gave birth to his twelfth child.

According to Bloomberg, earlier this year the third common daughter of Musk and the senior executive of one of his companies, Siobhan Zilis, was born. Three years earlier, the couple became parents to twins.

Before this, singer Grimes gave birth to three children from Musk. By his first wife, Justine Wilson, he has six more (his first child, Nevada, died at the age of 10 weeks).

Zilis Musk, 38, whose fortune is estimated at $205 billion, is known to have been in a relationship for several years.

The agency’s journalists linked Musk’s love for children with his support for the natalist movement (natalism, pronatalism – encouraging an increase in the birth rate; natalists call for a ban on abortion and limiting the availability of contraceptives and the support for large families – Ed.).

In 2021, Musk called low birth rates “one of the biggest risks to civilization.” He also said that “if people don’t have children, there won’t be a new generation.”

UN experts do not share Musk’s concerns about the decline in the human population: according to the Organization’s forecasts, in 2100 the world population will reach 10 billion people. Although there is a certain negative trend in the world: the largest number of people live in those places where the increase in mortality exceeds the increase in the birth rate, that is, in economically developed countries. Consequently, very soon the proportion of the elderly population will exceed all possible maximums, which will create an incredible burden on both the labor market and the social security system.

Musk’s commitment to the ideas of natalism was also confirmed by the publication of reports from one of the charitable foundations he created, which donated $10 million to the University of Texas for the work of a research group on the well-being of the population. Bloomberg journalists were able to discover that the group’s main goal is to “legitimize the idea that low fertility is a key threat to long-term prosperity.” It also became known that Musk financed the filming of a documentary dedicated to the topic of population decline on Earth.
