The production of both drinking water and all types of minerals in the third quarter of 2023 increased by 28% compared to the same period in 2022, and is 98.6% covered by national production.
Demand for bottled water is growing despite rising prices. Sales in stores and points of sale increased by 11.2% compared to the second quarter and at distance sales by 13.8%. “Draft” water is not popular: sales through vending machines decreased by 0.6% and still occupy a small market share – only 0.04%.
Among mineral waters, the most popular are carbonated natural medicinal table waters, although they are a third more expensive – 53% of sales volume. The most expensive mineral water is natural carbonated medicinal water, its prices are 85% higher than the average. In terms of sales volume, these waters occupy the last place both among mineral waters (3%) and among bottled waters in general (1%).
The supply of mineral water during the year increased by 70% compared to the same period in 2022, which was mainly due to an increase in production (+22%).
