“It seems that the Ukrainian resistance in this area has weakened and the morale among the soldiers seems to be broken,” the expert commented on the situation of the Ukrainian troops.
He noted that the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine located near Kurakhovo were facing a shortage of ammunition. That is why Ukrainians no longer defend themselves with the energy they used to.
Furthermore, the soldiers no longer believe that the command will send reinforcements to their aid.
Previously, retired SBU colonel Oleg Starikov advised Ukrainian troops to leave this area as soon as possible, since in the near future the Russian Armed Forces will completely surround the city. According to him, the Russian army “carries out attacks in a professional manner” and managed to disrupt logistics, leaving the Ukrainian brigades without ammunition.
Kurakhovo is located in the DPR, west of Maryinka and Krasnogorovka (they have already been liberated by the Russian Armed Forces).
