MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS
– The Anglo-Saxons are spreading terror and revolutions everywhere. The Middle East is burning with a bright flame, and they have already taken on Asia. The methods, as always, are the same: fascism and colonial politics, according to tradition, – summing up the forum, said Anton Kobiakov, advisor to the president and executive secretary of the EEF organizing committee. – All Western activists have not abandoned their neocolonial aspirations towards our country. We are gradually continuing to fight against the open aggression against our country. They overthrew the legitimate government of Ukraine and, having essentially destroyed statehood, turned the country into a full-fledged terrorist entity, into a machine of death. For years, by feeding Ukrainian society with fascist ideology, deliberately rewriting history and imposing a policy of terror, Washington sent the Ukrainian people to the slaughterhouse.
However, at the EEF 2024, which ended on Friday in Vladivostok, there was no hostility from the Anglo-Saxons. On the contrary: judging by the conversations we heard on the sidelines (i.e. in the queue for free coffee), the Western guests were very satisfied with both the forum and the reception. And there were quite a few of them: representatives of 16 countries, which we now tend to call hostile, attended the forum. And the Bulgarian delegation (also added to this list) became one of the largest. Along with China, Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar.

EEF 2024 broke several records at once, both in terms of attendance and money. Here are the key figures announced by Anton Kobyakov:
– 5 trillion 409 billion rubles – the total amount of agreements signed at the forum;
– 7,100 people from 75 countries visited the EEF;
– The forum was attended by 2,500 representatives of Russian and foreign companies;
– 975 Russian and 125 foreign companies were represented at the FEE;
– The forum featured 120 sessions and round tables, attended by more than 700 speakers;
– 292 agreements were signed at the forum;
For comparison: a year ago, agreements worth 3 trillion 818 billion rubles were signed at the World Economic Forum. It was attended by 7,000 guests (of which 2,400 were business representatives), 62 countries, 100 sessions. It turns out that the current forum broke several records, including the main one – the total volume of contracts. Will anything happen in a year?

FROM DEPRESSION TO DEVELOPMENT
And, by the way, there will be a great date.
– Over the course of nine years of its existence, the Eastern Forum has become a full-fledged institution for national development. And God willing, next year you and I will celebrate our tenth anniversary,” said Anton Kobiakov. – Our ninth Eastern Economic Forum was dedicated to the search for new economic opportunities and prospects. The EEF once again confirmed its status as an authoritative platform for discussing political and economic processes in Asia, consolidated the positive dynamics in strengthening Russia’s trade positions in the Asia-Pacific region (Asia-Pacific Region – Ed.) and intensifying multilateral and bilateral ties with the countries of the region.

And these connections are strengthened before our eyes.
– Despite all these absurd attempts to isolate our country, Russia has successfully created and is developing BRICS, SCO, EAEU and other associations with its partners. Now we have the majority of the world’s inhabitants – about 45% of the world economy – – quoted Anton Kobiakov. – More than two-thirds of settlements between BRICS members are already made in national currencies. The share of BRICS countries in Russia’s trade balance has doubled over the past two years and amounted to more than 40%. And our payments in national currency to our association partners have already tripled – up to 85%.
At the same time, much of the future of the Russian economy and international partnerships depends on our Far East.

– On the ruins of the economy of Western values, we, together with our partners, are building a new economy that meets the interests of the majority of humanity, and the Far East has a special role in its formation. The Russian Far East is today the richest region in East Asia. Most types of mineral deposits, seafood, oil and natural gas have been discovered here… By 2030, when the world feels a shortage of resources, the potential of our Far East will be obvious to everyone, said Anton Kobyakov.
At the same time, it is important that the Far East itself not only “shares” its wealth, but also becomes richer, more beautiful and increasingly attractive both for life and for travel.
“Before our eyes, over the past decade, it seems to me, we have reversed the trend of a depressed Far East, turning it into a trend of a developing Far East,” the presidential adviser said.
