It seems that the highest level of acting is to be able to present two completely opposite characters in the same image. Only Evgeny Leonov (“Gentlemen of Fortune”), Yuri Yakovlev (“Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession”) and several other Soviet artists who fell into “creative schizophrenia” were able to do this so believably that sometimes it is hard to believe that the ramshackle administrator of the Bunsha house and Tsar Ivan IV are the same artist. Now Alexander Petrov decided to challenge the best: the actor played two different characters at once in a criminal adventure comedy.

A film by Dmitry Litvinenko called “Vasily” will premiere on “Kinopoisk” and the trailer was already released the other day. Petrov in the film got the role of Vasily and Kolya Afanasyev, twins who followed completely different life paths. To do this, the artist transformed himself into a completely unrecognizable image: he grew a beard, made a ponytail and began to look more like Vitaly Milonov.

The diligent Vasya stayed in his native Kobylkino to teach safety to children at a local school. But his twin brother Kolya lives in Mexico under a false name. And not only does he live enjoying the beauty and the ocean, but he gets involved in a confrontation with a local drug cartel, from which he hides. Kolya (aka Basil Woodworth) is about to end up in the bandits’ basement or behind bars, so Vasya decides to go on a daring trip to Mexico to perhaps see his brother for the last time. The series “Breaking Bad” about the duality of human personality according to Dostoevsky, of course, has nothing to do with this.

Of course, a seemingly noble mission turns into a series of chases, shootouts and other unusual adventures in the life and everyday life of Kobylkinsky Vasya. Kolya is pursued both by the Mexican “collectors” of the cartel and by the jealous and sensual beauty Bonita (Barbara De Regil), and his unfortunate and quiet brother falls under the distribution.

In addition to Petrov and De Regil, the comedy stars Yan Tsapnik, Dmitry Lysenkov, Valentina Mazunina, Pavel Vorozhtsov and many others.
