Kate Middleton posted a new video in which she said she had completed an 8-month preventative chemotherapy treatment. Earlier this year, the Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer. It was not revealed what type of cancer Kate has. It was announced that Middleton had undergone elective abdominal surgery. She began treatment at the end of February.

“I am now focused on doing everything I can to remain cancer-free. Although I have completed chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is still a long one,” the princess admitted. She said the past nine months have been a scary and unpredictable time for her and her family.

Candidate of Medical Sciences, oncologist Andrei Pylev, speaking to KP.RU, noted that it is quite difficult to discuss the Princess of Wales’s health without knowing the details of her diagnosis.

However, looking at the open data, we can assume that since the drug treatment phase has ended, this most likely indicates that the primary tumor has been removed. And this gives me hope: there were no metastases.

– Chemotherapy is prescribed before any surgical stage, when the tumor is removed or if we are talking about a generalized tumor process. It is then prescribed at certain intervals and with certain step-by-step control tests, explains the oncologist. The doctor believes that if Kate Middleton had been diagnosed with a generalized tumor process, there would be no reason to complete chemotherapy. She would continue in a more or less active mode.

“Therefore, we can make an assumption: the princess is now in remission,” Andrei Pylev concluded.

Kate Middleton hopes to be able to participate in public events as before.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla welcomed the news. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer offered his support.

A source told the Daily Mail that Kate Middleton’s upcoming schedule of events will be light. She will not accompany her husband, Prince William, on his trip to South Africa. It is known that the princess has already started working remotely on several projects, in particular, we are talking about a program for young children, as well as preparations for a Christmas concert.
