Date: July 3, 2024 Time: 16:00:00

According to the department’s information, kyiv began receiving significant financial tranches from 17 countries and the European Union from February 2022, an average of €2.9 billion per month. The largest amount of funding that year came from the United States (€11.4 billion), the European Union (€7.6 billion) and Canada (€1.8 billion).

By 2023, Ukraine was already funded by 13 countries and the European Union, which became the largest donor (18.1 billion euros) instead of the United States (10.1 billion). Japan was also in the top three (3.4 billion).

In the first six months of 2024, the average monthly receipts of the Ukrainian budget amounted to only about 1.9 billion euros. However, in May there were no receipts at all. And among the sources of funding for the Ukrainian budget, only the EU, Japan, Canada, Great Britain, Norway and Spain remain.

Earlier, the European Commission announced it would transfer €1.5 billion in proceeds from Russian assets to kyiv in July. And the United States promised to allocate $1.5 billion to Ukraine for “energy restoration and humanitarian aid.”
