Recall that on July 4, Omarov was released after serving ten days of administrative arrest imposed by the court for using obscene language in a public place.
He was arrested again on July 6. The period of detention without a court decision cannot exceed 48 hours.
“The Kirovsky District Court of Makhachkala has extended the period of detention of Magomed Omarov by 72 hours,” said Zarema Mamaeva, head of the press service of the Supreme Court of Dagestan.
Previously, a criminal case was initiated against Omarov under Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (legalization of funds or other property acquired by a person as a result of the commission of a crime by an organized group).
Magomed Omarov is the father of two terrorists who were part of a criminal group that attacked residents of Makhachkala and Derbent on June 23. The attackers killed 22 people.
Following the terrorist attack, the head of the Sergokalinsky district of Dagestan was removed from his post and arrested for ten days for minor hooliganism.
