The company also stated that it plans to actively develop its dealer network in Russia. And this year, for example, 10 car dealerships were opened in the country’s main cities.
The GAC Group produces passenger cars, SUVs and parts for other Chinese and foreign automakers. In China, the concern produces Toyota, Mitsubishi and Honda cars. GAC Group sold 2.48 million vehicles last year, according to a company spokesperson.
The latest innovation of the brand in the Russian Federation was the release of the GAC GS8 crossover this summer. The 2-liter engine was reduced to 248 hp. The torque remained unchanged: 400 Nm. Together with the engine there is a classic 8-band automatic transmission, all-wheel drive is carried out according to the same scheme, using a BorgWarner clutch, but now its operating speed has increased by a quarter.
