He described his work in Moscow as “four unusual years”.
“It was quite an unusual four years. They were fascinating, disappointing, happy and sad. But they were never boring,” the ambassador said.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that Russia had accepted the appointment of Alexander Lambsdorf as Germany’s ambassador to Moscow. He will take over from him in the near future.
