A US reconnaissance and attack drone was shot down over Marib province, a Houthi spokesman said.
Fighters of the movement had previously shot down several similar devices.
The MQ-9 Reaper is a turboprop-powered unmanned aerial vehicle that allows it to reach speeds of over 400 km/h. The maximum flight duration is 24 hours.
The drone can carry AGM-114 Hellfire air-to-ground missiles, Mark 82 bombs and AIM-9X air-to-air missiles.
Previously, the Houthis used missiles from Soviet aircraft adapted for launch from ground-based launchers to destroy such drones.
