Doctor of Medical Sciences Elena Malysheva, a 63-year-old presenter of the TV shows “Health” and “Live Healthy”, “has polled” her colleagues about how lucky she is with her daughters-in-law. “I can’t express how wonderful they are!” – Elena Vasilievna likes that Karina and Anna are well-educated and well-mannered, love their children and are good housewives. A happy mother-in-law often publicly thanks the parents of her daughters-in-law for giving them an excellent upbringing and teaching them to work: “And, most importantly, they taught them love and kindness! The two sons of the TV presenter and owner of medical clinics Elena Malysheva and her husband, scientist Professor Igor Malyshev, live in the United States. The eldest son, Yuri Malyshev, worked many years ago as a creative producer of the program “Life is great!”, broadcast by his mother’s production company. Yuri received higher education in Moscow – he completed his residency in surgery, then moved to New York for permanent residency, completed his residency there and became the best chief resident of a New York hospital. Cardiac surgeon Yuri Malyshev works at the largest medical center in New York, Maimonides, in Brooklyn: it is both a multidisciplinary hospital and an academic training center. Yuri and his wife Karina have three children: 9-year-old Igor, 6-year-old Arthur, and 4-year-old Anna. He lives with his family in his own house. His younger brother Vasily visits him: he graduated from the law academy in Russia, after which he left for the United States, where he received a diploma from the law school. Both Vasily and Yuri have Russian wives. Elena Malysheva periodically flies to New York to visit her children and take care of her grandchildren. Elena Vasilievna once shared her emotions after visiting her youngest son with the family of her eldest son: “Our Anechka, the wife of our youngest son, prepared an unusually beautiful breakfast for everyone. Anya has an excellent education. She is a specialist in international taxes. She speaks English and French fluently. And another of her undoubted talents is the ability to cook beautifully and set the table incredibly beautifully.” Malysheva often praises her economic daughters-in-law in front of her children. Karina is raising children, and Anna is still building a career.
Jasmine
This spring, the eldest son of singer Jasmine, 26-year-old Mikhail, got married. Bloggers began to argue that the daughter-in-law would have to try very hard to please Jasmine, who is very picky about her son’s choice, given that they dated less than a year before the wedding. In fact, everything turned out to be not entirely true. Jasmine has three children: the youngest son and daughter from her second husband, Ilan Shor, the eldest son from her first husband, businessman Vyacheslav Semenduev.

Mikhail Semenduev and his fiancée Eva met a year ago and a couple of weeks later they arranged a meeting to meet their mothers. In the fall, Jasmine gave her son a ring that was given to her by the mother of her first husband (Misha’s father) so that he could present these family jewels to Eva. In the future, Eva will pass it on to her daughter-in-law.
The singer’s daughter-in-law, Eva, is a professional figure skater; she trained with Alexander Zhulin from the age of 14, was a member of the Russian youth team and took part in the World Championships and other competitions. When Eva was injured at the age of 18, she left big sports, entered the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, worked as a PR manager for Adelina Sotnikova, and now plans to create ice shows. Mikhail graduated from MGIMO and has his own business.
Jasmine told us about her relationship with her daughter-in-law: “When Mikhail introduced us to Eva, we began to communicate, the relationship gradually became warmer. And one day on vacation, the two of us went to sit in a cafe, and at the end of the conversation, Eva asked: “Can I call you mom?” I got goosebumps and tears in my eyes – I was touched and very glad that we were developing such trust and mutual understanding. I dreamed of such a daughter-in-law, but I didn’t think it would turn out exactly like this. It turned out that we have absolute mutual understanding and a traditional view of family relationships. I have already fallen in love with Eva very much, and I even talked to her mother and suggested: “Let’s do this: you always protect Mikhail, and I always protect Eva…” She is a very good girl, she and her son understand what they want in life, how to start a family, they respect, love and support each other. It seems to me that Eva realized that I love them, I love their family.”
Yulia Menshova
Many people on the Internet consider actress and TV presenter Yulia Menshova to be an intelligent and very strict lady. What kind of mother-in-law is she? It turned out that she is excellent: she does not interfere in the affairs of her son and his wife, but organizes joint leisure time for the family. Even before the wedding, Menshova included her daughter-in-law in a family chat: they discuss everyday and personal matters, plan meetings and learn news about each other. 26-year-old Andrei Gordin, the son of Yulia Menshova and her husband, actor Igor Gordin, graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School, makes short films and acts in the troupe of the Brusnikin Workshop theater. Andrei Gordin married a year ago to a colleague, actress Maria Kukushkina. The mother-in-law does not make unexpected visits to her daughter-in-law: traditionally the family gathers for dinner in a restaurant once every few weeks. In a rare interview, Yulia Menshova called Kukushkina “a good daughter-in-law.” Recently, Menshova organized a joint trip in two cars to Suzdal and Vladimir: in one were Yulia herself, her husband and daughter, and in the other Andrei and his wife. Yulia Menshova believes that now they need to join a young family so that “while they are busy, they can get to know each other and feel each other.”

Svetlana Svetlichnaya
Svetlana Svetlichnaya now spends most of her time in the hospital – the 84-year-old artist’s health is deteriorating. Several years ago, the cheerful Svetlana Afanasyevna, according to tradition, scolded her daughter-in-law Olga: “There are relatives and loved ones, and there are incomprehensible people. I don’t want to communicate with my daughter-in-law! This anger had no motivation – such is the artist’s complex character. After Svetlichnaya’s youngest son (who was not married) died in 2006, she, for no reason, began to get angry with her eldest son Alexei Ivashov and his wife Olga, but her daughter, her granddaughter Masha, always adored her. Relatives were understanding. When Svetlana Afanasyevna fell ill three years ago (high blood pressure, memory loss), her daughter-in-law Olga brought her food every day before work – she cooked what her mother-in-law liked. The son and daughter-in-law then hired a nurse who lived with Svetlichnaya; leaving her alone at home became dangerous due to her progressive dementia.

Family friend, actor Ivan Nikolaev, has been close to Svetlana Afanasyevna in recent years and has visited her at home. Nikolaev dispelled rumors that the actress’s relatives “got rid” of her by putting her in a hospital: “I think there was no other way out and it was necessary to put Svetlana Afanasyevna in a hospital. There is no interest on the part of her relatives – it is a lie when they write that her relatives want to take possession of her apartment. Her daughter-in-law Olga is a wonderful woman who honestly takes care of her husband’s mother. I call Olga Ivashova and Maria (Svetlichnaya’s granddaughter) – the family keeps the situation under control. Svetlana Afanasyevna is an elderly person and has not needed publicity for a long time. It is very good that in recent years she has found a common language with her son Alexei and granddaughter Masha. I supported her when she quarreled with everyone. Now there is peace and quiet in her family.” Svetlichnaya is receiving treatment at a clinical psychiatric hospital.
