The explosion on Mayakovsky Street alone damaged more than 500 apartments and 119 individual houses. It turns out that now their owners will not be able to pay the tax accrued from July 2022 until the ownership of the shacks and demolished land ceases. However, to do so, the mayor’s office must include all the victims in the lists that it will send to the Federal Tax Service. For the 2022 tax period, this must be done no later than September 1, 2023, for the current year, no later than March 1, 2024.
“This is a justified decision. The initiative is an example for other municipalities,” said Sergey Kravtsov, head of the Public Council under the Directorate of the Russian Federal Tax Service for the Belgorod Region.
