It turned out that a 30-year-old neighbour was producing mephedrone in his garage. Police found more than 800 litres of precursors needed to make “synthetics” and the finished drug.
According to the coordinates of the accused’s phone, investigators found three caches with several packages of mephedrone. As it turned out, the Sochi resident had set them up in the forest of the Khostinsky district.
In total, the police seized more than 1.8 kilograms of drugs. A criminal case was opened against the accused under Part 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The man was arrested.
He now faces life in prison for illegal production, storage and sale of prohibited substances.
