In two schools in the Krasnoselsky district, in the village of Podolskoye and in the village of Gridino, despite the cold snap, the heating was not turned on. At both schools, work to switch to autonomous gas heating was not completed in time.
The boiler house at the Podolsk school was installed in May, and in Gridino – in August. According to the Kostroma administration, the region provided all the necessary resources, but the facilities were not connected to the gas networks on time. Schools worked on a reduced schedule, with convectors on to heat classrooms.
The residents of the area complained to the governor. All problems were quickly resolved, and after the intervention of the head of the region, heating was supplied to the schools.
As the head of the Krasnoselsky district, Svetlana Kovalskaya, said, two of her deputies were relieved of their positions – on issues of the social sphere and housing and communal services. They informed the management that the temperature regime in the schools was not violated.
